About Skate Tech
Skate Tech was founded with a clear goal: to make skateboarding easier to learn, safer to access and more structured for faster, more confident progression.
What began with one skater helping others at the local park has evolved into Sydney's fastest-growing skate school. Our founder, Akira, took a strategic, step-by-step approach to skating. Within his first year, he reached a level well beyond what’s typically expected. By his second year, he had pushed even further, continuing to surpass expectations through consistent, focused improvement.
To make that style of coaching more widely available, we built a structured curriculum based on the same methods. It’s now the foundation of how our coaches teach—clear, consistent, and results-driven.
But not every student is focused on fast progression. For those who just want to build confidence and enjoy skating, we also offer a dedicated leisure curriculum, with a fun, creative approach that still keeps structure and support.
Skate Tech offers private coaching, group classes, holiday camps and school/OOSH programs in locations across Sydney and the Central Coast. We’re fully mobile too, with in-house portable obstacles that bring the skatepark to you, or add to existing ones.
Safety is always a priority. From proper gear and progression control to how we set up our environments, we take every step to keep sessions fun, safe and well-managed. Whether it’s one student or a full program, Skate Tech is about making skateboarding smart, safe, and fun for everyone.
